OUR LADY OF KNOCK

PARISH MISSION STATEMENT

          Our Lady of Knock is a community of Roman Catholic beleivers in Jesus Christ.  As the Body of Christ, we proclaim His redeeming presence to all people with the help of the Holy Spirit.  We are called to share the good news of Jesus by our Eucharistic worship, witness, and service in education, evangelization, peace, and justice.  In a spirit of friendship and reconciliation, we welcome all people to celebrate God's love, to grow in their faith and share in the Kingdom of God.

Parish Council: The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) acts as a consultative body to the Pastor and provides the parish with direction and ideas for future programming, development and assessment regarding existing programs.  Memberships consists of eleven parishioners and the pastor.  Present membership includes: Joseph Blake, Marlene Blees, Bill Burke, Cathy Knetl, Thomas Knetl, Michelle Zaversnik, Lorraine Przybyl, Sharon Ekpenyong, Barbara Marlow, Debbie Novak, Juanita Towns, and Fr. Patrick Lyons.

    The Council has four commissions that have representation from the parish organizations.  The four commissions are: Spiritual Life Commission, Education Commision, Spiritual Life, Commission, and the Human Concerns Commission.  Each of the commissions has a representatives from the Parish Council to carry information down to the individual commissions and carry concerns from the commissions uo to the Council. Each of the Commissions has their own Chair and Secretary for minutes and lead the discussions at the breakout session at the Commissions meeting. 

         

 

     The Education Commission includes the following organizations:

  •  Focus on the Positive                                         
  •  Footsteps in Faith
  •  Share the Word
  •  R.C.I.A.                                 

    The Council Presentatives to the Education Commission include:  Cathy Knetl and Joe Blake. The Chair for this Commision is to be determined and the Secretary rotates.

 

    The Human Concerns Commission includes the following organizations:

  • Ministry of Care
  • Ministry of Compassion
  • Respect Life
  • St. Vincent de Paul
  • Welcome Committee

    The Council Representatives to the Human Concerns Commission include:  Lorraine Przybyl and Marlene Blees.  The Chair for this Commission is Bob Morrison  and the Secretary is Vivian Sarbieski.

 

    The Spiritual Life Commission includes the following organizations:

  • Altar Servers
  • Cantors
  • Holy Hour and Adoration
  • Communion Ministers
  • Art and Environment
  • Guitar Group
  • Dust Busters
  • Lectors
  • Liturgy Committee
  • Monday Night Rosary

      The Council Representatives for the Spiritual Life Commission include:  Bill Burke, Barbara Marlow and Tom Knetl. The Chair for this Commission is Bill Burke and the Secretary is Barbara Marlow.

 

    The Social Life Commission includes the following organizations:

  • Women's Guild
  • Friendship Club
  • Money Counters
  • Greeters
  • Ushers

   The Council Representatives for the Social Life Commission include:  Debbie Novak, Sharon Ekpenyong, Michelle Zaversnik, and Juanita Towns.  The Chair for this Commission is Jan Sajek and the Secretary is Louis Krawczyk
